FLP Air Curtains

Flameproof Air Curtains are used in hazardous locations where flammable gases, vapours or liquids are handled. They are used for separation of two areas by way of a curtain of airat high or medium velocities. Air curtains help in preventing ingress of air borne dust, air pollutants, gases, pollen, flying insects and heat etc. into the desired area for maintaining specific conditions of cleanliness, temperature and pressure. Air curtains are installed at the top level of the entry or exit doors and can be provided with limit switch.

Construction:

Air curtain consists of housing fabricated in corrosion resistant carbon alloy (CRCA) sheets duly powder coated. The impeller is single piecealuminiumprovided with ball bearings sealed at the end support which does not require regular lubrication for a long period. This construction along with the FLP motor makes the air curtain flameproof.

Installation:
FLP Air Curtains are easy to install at the site. The air curtain is hanged on a standard MS powder coated bracket fixed just above the door in case of wall mounting type. Air curtains can also be installed on the ceiling with the help of a standard bracket.

Motor:
The motor incorporated with the air curtain is double shaft with Class B or F insulation, totally enclosed with continuous rating at 1440 RPM. Flameproof motor CMRS approved suitable for single or 3 phase electrical supply is provided.
