Exhaust System
Exhaust System comprises of centrifugal exhaust fan or tube axial flow exhaust fan, ducting and suction hoods with flow control dampers. Through the suction hoods polluted gas or air is sucked and conveyed through ducting to the fan suction and then vented out through the discharge ducting at the safe level. The exhaust fan provides adequate flow rate and static pressure for this purpose. Exhaust system is used only where the air pollutants in the gas or air are within the statutory limits. Otherwise the exhaust system should be provided with a scrubber for gas cleaning.
Main components of exhaust system:
1. Centrifugal or Tube Axial Flow Exhaust Fan
2. Ducting
3. Suction Hood
4. Flow Control Damper
MOC of exhaust system shall be suitable for the duty conditions and the same can be provided in MS, GI, Al, SS, PP, FRP, FRB or FRV etc.
Please refer typical system layout GA drawing.
